Catching Up

Gee, haven't posted since January and it is already September. A lot has happened while 'making other plans' and most of it has been good!

After that radio interview on TimeBanking, I started volunteering for KGUA. I have run the 'Classical Saturday' programming and filled in where I could whenever asked. I have learned how to 'run the board', turn cd's into mp3's, and do voice over recordings.

The TimeBank continues, it has an online presence and without the support of two women (Bea and Karen) I may have lost incentive by now.  I have had to cut back on my participation because I scored a second paying job. (The first being the bookkeeping gig at the Gualala Nursery and Trading Company two days a week.)

I work as a Park Aide for the Sonoma County Regional Parks. I report to the Gualala Point park with the Sea Ranch Trails as part of my responsibility. At least once or twice a week I drive down to Stillwater Cove. Sunsets are part of my regular routine, along with dumping trash and cleaning toilets. I get to walk the trails too.

Another first for me begins this week as I start a First Responder first aid class. Seems like the thing to do, I am on the road so much now. It isn't so much if as when I will be the first on the scene of an accident.
