Recap 2021

It was a shock coming into California. The hills were dry and golden color. Even Nevada was still green!

I learned that to depend on something being open via yelp or google, I needed to call and confirm. A lot of businesses were closed completely, were open only a few days a week and most had limited hours. Patience was important, businesses were understaffed or employees were in training.

As we heard more about the delta variant of Covid 19, we saw more masks. It was interesting hearing the local news reporting for each state we were in. Breakthrough infections were happening for those that had been vaccinated.

It was HOT in most of the country. Unusual weather seemed to be the norm. Lots of thunder and lightening, hail, tornado watches and even 8 hours of rain from Elisa.

I got to meet two women I have worked with online which was a treat! We got to spend some time with John's son's family in Tennessee.

John did all the heavy lifting keeping the van in shape. I treated him by doing the grocery shopping and keeping ice in the ice chests.

The dog is happy to be home, zooming around, exploring her territory. She was a great little traveler.

Now comes the tasks of unloading the van and doing laundry.
