Exploring Scenic byway 12
We left Green River having enjoyed breakfast and coffee prepared by an oxford trained barista. There was a bit of backtracking on hwy 24 before we turned onto 12.
Grand staircase escalante Ntl monument is very different geography than the red rock canyons of Moab and Canyonlands. The Hogsback was like driving on hwy 1, only both sides dropped off. All the photos I took really can't do it justice. Our timing was right for lunch at Hells Backbone Grill, which lived up to all the great reviews.
Tomorrow we explore Kodachrome and again by the time this posts we will be on down the road. There is no cell service and John is happy generators are only allowed from noon to 4pm.
