Today we took the car out for the first time.  To say urban traffic was challenging is an understatement. John was able to thread a needle several times.  Even when I directed him onto a one lane alley under construction that dead ended (oops.).

Started our day with a freddo espresso and freddo cappuccino.  Met with Christo the UNtour guide with the list John made of all that was not working in the apartment.  Made reservations for the Friday cruise to islands Spetsas and Hydra.  Found out the cooking class is scheduled for Sat the 28th at 2pm.

Headed out toward Epidavros (there are 3 separate sites-ancient, new, and the theatre).
We hit 2 out of three-ancient on a gulf in the aegean sea and the theatre.  Beautiful views of the sea and we spotted a vintage wooden sailboat parked between new fiberglass rentals.  The theatre is spectacular,  built in the 4th century BC with "near perfect acoustics".

On the way we saw wind generators and a solar farm. John got to see a concrete mixer truck.  We drove through many olive and citrus orchards. We missed our turn and  had lunch where we were going to turn around.  When I commented on the   proprietors english, he said was originally from Canada, been here since 1994.

We could not even imagine trying to do any of this during the summer.  The crowds, the heat…oh my.  It was a very pleasant day all in all.
