Sunday 10.22
7AM CLANG CLANG CLANG. Startled the heck out of me! They are right outside our apartment. They ring at different times and the other 2 or 3 churches in the area ring their bells at different times. It is nice to listen to the chanting during services.
I had planned a loop walk and darn if the path wasn't blocked by a gate. John has a thing about going around gates, while everyone else went around. So instead we sat in one of the cafes along the waterfront and people watched. John had his first milkshake of the trip and i had an espresso. I have since researched what the different coffee drinks are and will be ordering a freddo espresso next time (espresso whipped with ice.).
We ate in, the groceries we had bought friday. John had some choice words to say about the flat burner electric stove "that all the marks have been worn off". He is having some knee pain, so kept walking to a minimum.
For tomorrow I am planning our first road trip.
