Waiting…

Since leaving Santa Rosa we have spent large chunks of time waiting in airports. We are now waiting for our Untours pick up in Athens.

I am glad that I asked for wheelchairs for both of us. It could have been disastrous trying to find our way, especially in London. We did have to go through security again in. With almost 8 hours to wait for the flight to Athens, we spent time in the lounge to eat and regroup. Getting bored we wandered around and got ourselves to the correct gate. Turns out the "special assistance" crew assigned to us had been searching for us. John got his gluten free meals as pre-ordered.

Arrived in Athens at 2am. The driver from Peri's Hotel met us and delivered us to room 11. I already addressed the pleasant reference to 11. Slept for about 6 hours on a very comfortable mattress. Turns out the owner has the same mattress at home. Simple breakfast of hard boiled eggs, yogurt, cheese, OJ, coffee and selection of breads.

Spent some time on the patio of our room before heading back to Athens airport to meet Un Tours. The weather is a bit damp and breezy. This mornings driver spoke very highly of Nafplion, he takes his family there for time off.
